President Joe Biden's Approval Rating Plummets to Record Low, NBC News Poll Reveals

As Americans worry that President Joe Biden is not taking appropriate actions amidst Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, and inflation at home soars, NBC News released on Sunday, poll results showing that the overall approval rating of the president has plummeted to 40%, which is a new low.
Of the 1,000 respondents who were surveyed between March 18 and 22, 55% of Americans reported that they did not approve of how Biden is doing as president, the Hill reported.
Respondents were polled as Biden was meeting last week with world leaders to attempt to stop the Russian aggressors from continuing to harm Ukrainians.
After initial high approval ratings when Biden assumed office more than a year ago, his approval numbers have slowly been inching down.
In the NBC’s most recent poll, seven out of 10 Americans expressed low confidence in Biden's ability to handle the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, while eight in 10 Americans worried that the war could cause gas prices to spike. Americans also worried about the much more serious concern that Russia’s aggressions could lead to nuclear war.
When respondents were asked which party should control US Congress following this fall's midterm elections, the NBC survey found that Republicans were in the lead with a two-point advantage.
