An Unexploded bomb from World War II was found during a construction project that is now underway at the Bais Hachaim in Liska  (OLASZLISZKA), Hungary.


As renovations of the grounds of the Bais HaChaim including restoration of matzevos at the Liska Bais Hachaim--resting place of Harav Tzvi Hersh of Liska, author of Ach Pri Tevuah and Harav Chaim of Liska author of Tal Chaim is ongoing---workers discovered a hand grenade lying among the matzevos slightly buried underneath the ground.


The workers quickly evacuated the Bais Hachaim and immediately called the local Police fire department who in turn brought in the necessary personnel to safely deactivate the hand grenade.


"It was an open miracle that tens of thousands of people traversed  the Bais hachaim in the last 70 years and it didn't explode" said the official who showed that one of the wires was still connected.


The restoration of the grounds of the Bais Hachaim is part of a larger project that is being undertaken by Khal Bais Liska. A construction of parking lot and hachnasas orchim facility adjacent of the Bais Hachaim. It will enhance the experience of tens of thousands that come to mispalel at the holy Ohel of the Liska Tzadikim.
