Overnight House Fire on 40th Street

Last night, at around 12:30 am, a large fire broke out on the 3rd floor of a residence on 40th Street.

The shooting flames were visible from a distance as the conflagration spread before FDNY was able to gain control of the blaze. At the same time, numerous emergency personnel rushed to the scene to ensure the safety of those on location. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
