Nurses at NYU Langone Hospital in Boro Park have reached a new contract agreement, avoiding a strike set for March 1. The deal includes a 15.8% salary increase for nurses and requires the hospital to hire 100 more nurses to address staffing shortages.
The contract also includes a 9.25% wage increase starting immediately and another 6% increase in March. By the end of the contract, nurses’ base pay will reach $125,282.
NYU Langone Health welcomed the agreement, stating it will help support nurses and improve patient care.
