NYPD Welcomes 625 New Officers in Graduation Ceremony

Yesterday, New York City welcomed its newest class of NYPD graduates, marking a significant milestone for the officers and the communities they will serve.
This graduating class reflects the incredible diversity that defines New York. Over 70% of the officers hail from the city, demonstrating a deep connection to the neighborhoods they patrol. Together, they speak 39 languages, showcasing their ability to engage with and understand the city’s multicultural communities.
Among the 145 graduates, 35 different countries are represented, illustrating the inclusivity and global reach of this class. Additionally, 58 members have served or continue to serve in our nation’s military. These officers will soon step into roles critical to our city's fabric, from patrolling subway platforms to walking the streets in every borough.
