NYPD Releases Drawing of Attacker of Yingerman Punched at Coney Island Boardwalk
The NYPD released a drawing of the suspect who punched a yingerman on the Coney Island Boardwalk and is offering a reward of up to $2,500 to anyone with information.
On Tuesday, October 6, the second day of chol hamoed, a chassidishe man wearing a bekkeshe was walking with his wife and baby on the Coney Island boardwalk. He was in front of the cyclone roller coaster when a six-foot-tall African American man came from out of nowhere and punched him in the face before quickly disappearing.
The yingerman was hit so hard he momentarily blacked out and needed a few stitches.
The police have categorized the offense as a hate crime but are having a hard time finding the assailant because the victim can't remember much, and there was no one else around to report details.
