During Mayor Adam’s Israel trip, he visited the country’s
National Police Academy.
According to NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell, the mayor’s
visit is the impetus for the introduction of drones at crime scenes by the
NYPD. “Drones can get to crime scenes faster than police cars,” Chell said in
an interview with WPIX. The drones would be able to give police an idea of what
is transpiring at the crime scene and also cut out response times.

a while back on the plan to use drones in emergency situations to alert the
public to evacuate to safety.
