Wednesday, NYPD Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell announced that the NYPD fleet will be overhauled. Her remarks came at Wednesday’s “State of the NYPD” breakfast in Manhattan, which is hosted by the New York City Police Foundation.
Among the features will be a remodeled interior for the better safety and comfort of NYPD officers, Sewell said. It will also be equipped with 360-degree cameras for fuller surveillance of an entire area and give officers better visibility.
The all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E Sport Crossover Utility Vehicle is among the models expected to join the fleet.
Along with these remarks, the Commissioner released a 33-page strategic plan initiated this year by the NYPD.
