NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban Expected To Step Down Following FBI Raid

By Idy Perl

NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban is expected to step down amidst growing calls from various government officials and agencies for him to step down following last week’s FBI raid of his home, as per Politico.

As reported last week by BoroPark24, the FBI raided Caban’s home, in addition to the homes of several other high ranking officials in the Adams administration, and seized their phones as well.

According to the information that is being released, it seems Caban is being investigated for corruption together with his twin brother and former cop, James Caban.

Caban was appointed to his current position by Mayor Adams just a little over a year ago, in July of 2023. The current raid is just one of many federal investigations that have plagued the Adams administration since he took office, and is doing nothing to improve the public’s confidence in his administration.
