NYPD Closes Streets Around 66 Pct Station As Riots Erupt Around NYC
The NYPD closed the streets surrounding the 66th precinct station as riots erupted across New York City by people protesting the killing of a black man in Minneapolis.
16th Avenue corner 59th street was closed, as well as 59th Street itself, the two corners adjacent to the station. Protestors have burned and damaged many police cars across the city on Saturday, and police are protecting the property in case riots break out near the precinct headquarters.
