NYC Will Fine Anyone Without a Face Covering Beginning Today

New York City will fine anyone who refuses to wear a face-covering beginning Tuesday, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced at a press conference.

This regulation comes after the daily COVID-19 positivity rate hit over three percent in  NYC with major upticks in nine zip codes across Brooklyn and Queens.

If safety guidelines are not followed, the city will have to prohibit gatherings and close non-essential businesses, de Blasio warned.
