NYC Water Issues Warning: "No Such Thing as a 'Flushable' Wet Wipe"

By BoroPark24 Staff

New York City Water recently issued a warning to residents, urging them not to flush wet wipes, as there is no such thing as a truly "flushable" wipe.

In a tweet, the agency emphasized that flushing these wipes causes significant plumbing issues, predicting "six more weeks of problematic plumbing" if the practice continues.

The message serves as a reminder to dispose of wet wipes properly in the trash, helping avoid costly repairs and maintaining the city's plumbing system.
