NYC to Enter Phase Two on Monday

NYC to Enter Phase Two on Monday

In-person services at a variety of businesses will be allowed to resume Monday as part of New York City entering phase two of Governor Cuomo’s New York Forward plan.

The list of business categories allowed to resume are:

Commercial Building Management

Barbershops

Outdoor and Take-Out/Delivery Food Services

Offices

Real Estate Services

In-Store Retail

Vehicle Sales

Retail Rental, Repair & Cleaning

The government will still be requiring that businesses stick to strict social distancing guidelines.

Just like in phase one, all business will be required to have a safety plan in the event that a Health Department inspector comes. Businesses can either fill out the state provided form, or they can make their own safety plan.

Residents of New York City are particularly excited as this represents the first time in months that they can take a haircut in a barbershop, shop in stores for non-essential items, or eat at a restaurant (albeit outdoors - indoor dining is still not allowed).
