NYC Sees Spike in Number of Car Crash Deaths

Over 200 people have died in car crashes in New York City this year.
At this point in 2019, 188 New Yorkers were killed in car accidents; by the end of the year, the total was 220.
The surge in deaths comes despite a decrease in traffic, the Post reported. They believe because there are fewer cars, people are less concerned and, in turn, driving more recklessly.
Meanwhile, the number of pedestrians and cyclists killed has dropped.
