NYC Passes Huge Milestone; No New Deaths from Coronavirus in Past Day

New York City, which saw as many as 500 new deaths per day as the curve reached its peak, passed a huge milestone on Thursday with the city reporting no new deaths related to Coronavirus in the 24-hour period between Tuesday and Wednesday.

This marks the first time since March 12 that the city saw no earths related to the pandemic, the New York Post reported.

“In the face of extraordinary challenges, New Yorkers have gone above and beyond to keep each other safe throughout the crisis,” Citt Hall spokeswoman Avery Cohen said. “With hope on the horizon, we will continue to do everything we can to reopen safely without losing sight of the profess we’ve made.”
