NYC May Eliminate 400 Emergency Responder Jobs
According to the head of New York City’s Emergency Medical Services Union, the city wants to eliminate 400 emergency responder jobs.
The cuts will be part of de Blasio’s plan to cut 22,000 public workers after the city faces a revenue deficit since the pandemic.
The city says they don’t want to make these cuts but that it is the only thing they can do after not receiving enough funds from Albany.
