NYC Launches COVID-19 Map Tracker
As confirmed coronavirus cases surge, New York City launches a map tracking COVID-19 outbreaks.
The map allows you to enter an address to determine whether you are in a yellow, orange, or red zone, a system crafted by the Cuomo administration in response to the rise in cases.
“New Yorkers can now look up any address to see if they live, work or go to school in a Red, Orange or Yellow zone,” Bill Neidhardt, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s press secretary, tweeted. “This one is big. Public health demands clarity, and we’re proud NYC is delivering this clear, easy to use map.”
Red zones determine high-density areas infected with COVID-19, which now is spread over central and southern Brooklyn and neighborhoods in Queens, Far Rockaway, and Forest Hills.
