NYC Council Members Wary of Schools Resuming in September

There are 31 NYC council members still weary of schools reopening in the fall and wrote a letter addressed to Mayor de Blasio and the Department of Education.
“With less than a month until school is scheduled to start, there are still far too many unanswered questions around health and safety, programming, operations, and pedagogy,” they wrote.
But de Blasio curated a plan to launch a hybrid learning model that would have kids alternate between home and classroom learning in a matter of weeks.
He said it is very important that working parents have the opportunity to be away from home during the day.
