Numerous Hachnosas Sifrei Torah Around Town Today as New Year Approaches

After the pre-Shavuos season—when many families choose to dedicate new Sifrei Torah in honor of Kabbolas Hatorah—aleph selichos seems to be the next biggest day to inaugurate sifrei Torah at shuls around Boro Park.

The Sanzer Rebbetzin will be dedicating a sefer Torah in memory of her husband, the late Sanzer Rebbe (who was known for many years as the Sanz-Gribover Rebbe), as well as her parents, Reb Chananya Yom Tov Lipa and Sarah Mann. Kesivas Osiyos from 3:00-5:00 at the home of the Rebbe, 1472 52nd Street.
Reb Naftali Spira will be donating a Torah to the Bluzever Beis Medrah. Kesivas Osiyos from 3:00-5:00 at Seville Manor, with the procession leaving to the Beis Medrash at 5:00.

Reb Avrohom Yaakov Weiss will be celebrating the inauguration of a brand new Torah Shebiksav to the Skverer Shul on 12th Avenue simultaneous with a siyum hashas, culminating the completion of the oral Torah along with his chavrusa, Reb Berel Bernath, over twenty years.
As we approach a new year during uncertain and challenging times, the Yidden of Boro Park will do so clinging joyfully to the holy Torah which has sustained us through the centuries.
