Number of Covid Patients in NY Hospitals Drops to Four-month Low

New York - The number of people hospitalized for the coronavirus in New York state has dropped below 800, marking the first time since the virus flared up in March there were this few patients with the illness.
The welcome news comes as the disease that killed over 20,000 New Yorkers surges in other states. On Friday, there were more than 70,000 new cases across the country, a new daily record.
Overall, the number of confirmed cases in the United States stands at 3.1 million, meaning that one in every ten Americans have contracted the disease since it was brought over from Wuhan, China. Over 134,000 have died from it.
