New York Health Officials Release New Nursing Home Visitation Guidelines
New York Health officials have revised nursing home visitation guidelines, which will go into effect on Thursday.
The new guidelines allow nursing homes to enable visitation after having been coronavirus-free for 14 days, down from the previous 28 days.
Visitors must be 18 years and over and will need to have tested negative for COVID-19 within the previous seven days.
Upon arrival, all visitors will have their temperature taken and face coverings, and social distancing will be required.
Each resident will be allowed two visitors at a time. The number of visitors cannot exceed 10 percent of the number of residents.
