New Recipe: Basic Granola

Costumes and party favors have been stored away and now the cleaning products and mops are coming out.

Preparing for pesach is always intense so fueling up for the day with a nutrition-packed breakfast is essential. You know that giant container of oats you have lying around the house for the longest time? Now is the perfect time to use it up and to make a healthy breakfast or snack for yourself.

****

4 cups old fashioned oats

2 cups raisin nut mix

1/2 cup oil

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A handful of chocolate chips (optional)

****

1: Preheat your oven to three hundred fifty degrees. Combine all the ingredients besides the chocolate chips in a large bowl and mix well

2: Spread the mixture on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for twenty minutes

3: Mix well, spread evenly on the sheet, and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Bake for an additional ten minutes

4: Remove from the oven and mix one more time for the chocolate to get all over. Allow for it to cool completely before storing in an airtight container

****

Serving suggestions:

Top your yogurt with it

Top your açaí or smoothies with it
