New Police Cameras in Boro Park to Catch Speeding Drivers

Boro Park - Police have installed new cameras around the Boro Park area this week to help them catch and ticket drivers who speed down the road.

A surveillance camera went up on 60th Street, between 17th and 18th avenues, another one on Dahill Road and 37th Street, a third on 65th Street between 18th and 19th avenues, and a fourth on 8th Ave. and 65th Street.

The speed cameras operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, year-round. A fine of $50 is given to the owner of the vehicle speeding at 10 or more MPH over the speed limit.
