New Deadline Set to End Manhattan Toll

The Trump administration has given Governor Kathy Hochul a new deadline to stop charging the $9 toll for drivers entering Manhattan. This comes after Hochul and the MTA ignored an earlier deadline on April 20 to end the program.
The White House had asked for the tolls to stop by March 21, but the MTA fought to keep them. Now, with the new deadline set for May 21, the Trump administration has warned that if the tolls aren’t stopped by then, New York could lose funding for other funded projects.
