National Weather Services Issues a Heat Advisory for Wed. and Thurs.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that starts tomorrow, Aug. 25, at noon and will continue to 8pm on Aug. 26, when the heat indexes are expected to rise to the upper 90s.
“The summer is trying to give us another punch of a heatwave with temperatures in the next three days that are higher than 90 degrees,” said weather enthusiast Yaker Bigeleisen. “The weather will be hot and humid in the high 90s until Friday when the heat will break a little.
“On Shabbos and Sunday, we will have more comfortable temperatures, with a chance of light rain.”
Parents are reminded to never leave their children or those who require special care in cars that are parked in intense summer heat.
In the heat, New Yorkers are reminded to avoid strenuous outdoor activity and prolonged exposure to the sun and high temperatures.
