Mysterious Plane Seen Flying in Repeated Circles Above Boro Park

The skies above Boro Park are usually busy with all different kinds of aircraft flying around and creating a ruckus. Amid the regular noise, few astute Boro Park residents noticed a small plane flying in a repeated pattern above Boro Park on Motzei Shabbos.

Looking at the Flight Radar tracking website, they saw that it was a small plane that had been making the same trip the last few nights. The plane was taking off from a small airport in Farmingdale and then following an almost exact route over Boro Park every night. On an interesting note, the aircraft was registered with the United States Commerce Department.  

What sparked even bigger curiosity is the fact that the plane flew in perfectly straight lines, down to the inch, over and over again. This was captured in the attached photos, taken during the flight on Motze Shabbos between 1 and 2 a.m.

BoroPark24 confirmed with the weather analyst Yaker Bigeleisen that this plane belongs to the National Weather Service, who are conducting some kind of research, the exact details of which are unknown at this time.
