MTA to Offer New, Customized Text and Email Alerts to Notify Passengers of Services Changes

New Yorkers who wish to coordinate their departures from home and work with public transit options will now have a much easier time doing so, thanks to new texts and emails the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will soon send out in real-time to announce service changes and planned service alerts that impact routes.
Customers will be able to customize their MTA alerts so they are only notified about specific routes and on specific days.
