MTA Says it Will Clean Subways and Stations More Often

The MTA said it will step up the cleaning process and sanitizing of its subway stations and cars to help combat the spread of COVID-19, commonly referred to as the novel coronavirus.
The agency will be increasing the frequency and intensity of the procedures and will be sanitizing high-touch surfaces more often, including poles, handrails, seats, benches, and grab bars.
Cleaning personal will be working on this every day, with the full fleet being covered every 72 hours, according to the MTA.
