More Cars Seized in (Yet Another) MTA Crackdown Operation

The MTA and NYPD partnered for their 11th joint operation to remove ghost vehicles from the roads and go after toll evaders.
During this latest crackdown on May 8th, 57 vehicles were seized for a number of violations, including unpaid tolls and fees totaling over $302,000, unregistered vehicles, and suspended licenses. In this crackdown, another 19 arrests were made, and 100 summonses were issued.
Throughout the last 11 crackdown operations, officers have seized a total of 675 vehicles, made 161 arrests and have issued 4,771 summonses.
