Mayor Adams to Enhance NYC Parks

Mayor Eric Adams is doubling down on the importance of New York City’s parks, calling them “our backyard”, spaces where all New Yorkers should feel at home.
In an ambitious new initiative, Adams is on a mission to make parks more accessible and cleaner than ever before. “This year, we’ll put 20,000 additional New Yorkers within a 10-minute walk of a park AND add an extra cleaning shift to 100 hotspots parks that need it the most,” he announced. “That’s just one way we’re building a better city for your family.”
This major push is an unwavering commitment by Mayor Adams to ensure parks are cleaner, more accessible, and ready for every New Yorker.
