Man Arrested for Stealing Bike on 18th Avenue

A man well known to both Shomrim and the NYPD for his criminal and nuisance behavior over many years has been arrested yet again.

The offense this time was stealing a bike from private property at 18th Avenue and 53rd Street - the latest in a series of bicycle-related crimes over a recent period. A witness called Shomrim who in turn then called the NYPD to send over officers to arrest the criminal.

Previously, the offender had stolen bike wheels and tires, a child's bike, an air conditioner right out of someone's window, as well as various metal from around the neighborhood.
