Limited time left to sign a partnership with Maran Sar HaTorah!
The Infants' Fund:
The cries of Am
Yisrael's children have reached Maran Rabeinu Sar HaTorah HGR' Chaim
Kanievsky shlit"a. Thousands of children, whose source of
sustenance has been cut off because of the Corona virus- some of them even
prior to the outbreak- are experiencing lack; and they hunger for the most
basic essentials, for bread and milk…Yes. There are actually such cases.
Maran Sar haTorah shlit"a called
upon Kupat Ha'ir and requested from them to establish a special fund, the
"Infants' Fund". This fund is designated for children, in order to
allocate to each child 400 shekels ($120) a month for basic food staples, such
as bread, milk, and chicken; 13 shekels ($4) a day for food; essential
nutrition that they are sorely lacking.
Maran Sar haTorah shlit"a has requested from each one of us to form a partnership with him; to share the yoke with him; to lessen his enormous burden; and to take upon himself the expense for one month for 10 children: 4000 shekels ($1200= $36 x 36 months). Kupat Ha'ir will immediately transfer the 400 shekels ($120) to each of 10 children.
Thus we can relieve Maran
shlit"a of the burden, and he will be able to continue his
regular learning schedule.
Maran shlit"a regards this matter
as a full partnership in every sense of the word. Therefore, a special partnership
contract was drawn up with three signatories: the donor; Kupat Ha'ir; and the
Rav himself.
This document, as a
partnership agreement between the donor, Kupat Ha'ir, and Maran
shlit"a, states the donor commits to give; Kupat Ha'ir commits to
distribute; and Rabeinu shlit"a continues his learning
without disturbance; and all sign to that effect. At the end of the document is
a special certificate of approval and a very rare bracha from Maran shlit"a, in
which he blesses the donor- and here the donor's name is written- that
"who contributes to the Infants' Fund for hungry children- mida
k'neged mida he will have an ample livelihood." At the document's
conclusion, the contract is confirmed by the well-known words of contractual
agreement:
"V'hakol sh'reer
v'kayam."
That is to say, Maran
shlit"a is seeking partners. He regards this as a business deal,
including an agreement with three copies, specifying what each party takes upon
himself; a special certificate of approval; and a special bracha for
donors- and "Hakol sh'reer v'kayam- Chaim Kanievsky."
Also, there is the decree
of "mida k'neged mida" pertaining to an ample
livelihood, plus the rare contractual agreement with the signature and seal of
approval of Maran shlit"a. On this special agreement Maran
shlit"a's signature is on one side; the signatures of the Rabbanim of
Kupat Ha'ir are on the second side, and the signature of the donor is on yet
another page. Each donor receives three copies: one to be kept in his own
house; one to be kept in Maran's house; and one to be kept in the
Kupat Ha'ir office- three copies for the three signatories on the agreement.
