Hochul Reportedly Reconsidering Controversial Congestion Toll

By Idy Perl
With President-elect Donald Trump heading to office soon, Governor Hochul is reportedly reconsidering the controversial congestion toll that was put on hold in the summer.
Trump has vowed to block the congestion toll once he’s in office, but activists believe that if the bill is already active by then it would be harder for him to terminate it.
According to several reports, Hochul is considering lowering the toll from $15 to a more reasonable $9 as it might help the bill pass more easily. Sources say she is planning to unveil the modified plan soon and hopes to have it implemented before Trump takes office in January.
