History: Admor of Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok to Spend Shavuos in Boro Park

It was with tremendous excitement that the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok chassidim received the joyful news that the Rebbe would be spending the holy Yom Tov of Shavuos, the time of Kabbolas haTorah, among the community in Boro Park. 

The occasion is the wedding of the Rebbes grandson, Menachem Mendel, who is the son of Rav Yisroel Kohn, the Rebbe’s son, and the Rov of the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok community in Boro Park. The chosson’s maternal grandfather is Rav Dovid Schwimmer, the dayan of Viznitz-Beit Shemesh. 

The Kallah is the daughter of Rav Shulem Herbst, Premishlaner Rov, the son of Rav Shloime Benzion Herbst, zt”l, who was niftar last erev Yom Kippur, and was a beloved rov in Midwood for four decades. 

The wedding will take place on Wednesday, Isru Chag, and in honor of the Simcha, the Rebbe will land in America Monday morning, providing many opportunities for the Boro Park community to spend time his glow. 

An official kabbolas ponim will take place in the Anshei Sfard hall on Monday evening at 7:30, and all the tefillos and tischen of Shabbos, Yom Tov will take place in Ateres Golda, as well as the chasunah following Yom Tov.  

The combined joy and kedusha of these occasions in sure to leave an impression on Boro Park for a long time to come.
