The NYPD is currently investigating two men who tonight drove to the home of Heshy Tischler, who is a City Council candidate for the 48th District, to threaten, punch, and assault him.
Tischler recognized at least one of his perpetrators as someone who had followed him to his car to scream angry, anti-Semitic and anti-Israel words on May 25 at a George Floyd Memorial, which Tischler told BoroPark24 he attended to show his support.
“It is the Israel Defense Forces that teaches the NYPD how to kill,” said a raving man who Tischler identified as Sahadah Mamoud, who is Palestinian. “Let’s tell the truth, this man [pointing to Tischler] got a black man arrested in Times Square.
“You can’t stop me. This ain’t your city no more,” Mamoud screamed before the NYPD led him away, said Tischler, who said he stood his ground was “wasn’t going to show he felt fear in any way.”
Tonight when Mamoud drove up in front of his house with a friend, Tischler said that his wife was nearby, and he was putting his granddaughter in a car.
One of the suspects said, “We are going to get you. We know where you live.’”
When Tischler used his phone to take photos of his perpetrator and his license plates, one suspect knocked Tischler’s phone out of his hand, and then the suspect jumped back into his car. Then the second perpetrator came out of his car and punched Tischler twice in the face before both men “tried to run me over,” the radio talk show host reported.
Tischler said he did not hit his perpetrator back because if he did, he said, “I know the law very well: both of us get arrested.”
