Heavy Rains to Drench NYC Throughout Friday
New York - Drenching rain is forecast for the entire Friday in New York City, with severe thunderstorms and gusty winds.
The National Weather Service said that New Yorkers should be prepared for the inclement weather that is projected to begin at 2 a.m. early Friday and continue for 24 hours. Temperatures will range between the mid-80s and low-90s with a chance of thunderstorms.
Rainfall for the weather system, which the service named Tropical Storm Fay, is expected to be two inches. Temperatures should cool off during the overnight hours.
