Heat Wave Returns on Tuesday, Cooler Temperatures will Arrive on Friday

Hot and humid weather is returning to New York City this week: starting Tuesday evening, but cooling off by Shabbos.
“Most likely, we are going to have again weather that is going to meet the criteria of a heat wave, which is 90 plus degrees, with a high heat index that have a ‘real feel’ of 100 degrees and above,” said weather enthusiast Yaker Bigeleisen. “We are getting back to New York City summer weather."
While some rain will fall in the city and tomorrow night, the rain will stop by Tuesday, however the hot weather will descend until Friday, when a “fresh, cold air mass will bring lower humidity and cooler weather,” Mr. Bigeleisen explained.
Although Shabbos will bring in more pleasant temperatures, Friday’s expected change in air mass might bring with it severe weather, such as thunderstorms and possible tornados, which weather experts will watch as the week progresses.
