Heat Records Shattered Over Last Week, Following Snowless Winter

The temperatures that we experienced in New York City over the end of last week set records, with 89 degrees in Central Park on Thursday. The previous record for this time of year was 88 degrees back in 1977. This comes following an unseasonably warm winter, with almost zero snowfall in the city.
Boro Park residents welcomed the warmth, and adjusted their air conditioning thermostats accordingly for the last days of Yom Tov.
But summer is not quite here yet as we are returning to a more familiar weather pattern for this time of year, with highs in the upper sixties for this week.
