Hawk On 47th Street Attacks Children; City Begins Removal Process

By Idy Perl
Chaverim, the NYPD, and the Parks Department are working together to address a disturbance on 15th Avenue and 47th Street, near the Bobov Shul.
Recently, a hawk made its nest and has become quite comfortable on a fire escape at 1515 47th Street. The hawk has been disturbing pedestrians and most recently attacked two young children this past Shabbos.
The city is urging residents to be cautious and avoid the nest as the removal process, which has to comply with federal regulations, is expected to take around three weeks.
