Governor Hochul Announces $60M to Expand EV Charging Stations

Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a $60 million investment to help build more electric vehicle charging stations in New York City. This funding will help Revel, the city’s largest fast-charging network, nearly triple the number of public charging stations it currently has.
The money, provided by NY Green Bank, will support 267 new charging stalls at nine locations across the city. One of these sites will be on the outskirts of Williamsburg, where 30 new charging stations will be added.
Other locations include areas near LaGuardia Airport and JFK Airport, which will each get new, larger charging stations.
These new charging stations will make it easier for people to drive electric vehicles in New York City. By 2027, Revel will have completed this major expansion.
