By Y.M. Lowy
As temperatures drop, flu season is officially upon us.
“In New York City and New York State, we are seeing an increase in flu numbers,” said Dr. Gendlina, an epidemiologist at Montefiore Einstein.
According to the State Health Department, the flu is now widespread, with cases up 72% in New York City.
Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face to reduce the risk of catching the flu.
Flu shots are available at local pharmacies or doctors. Stay safe and take the necessary precautions this flu season.
