Fireworks No Longer Limited to July 4

For the last few weeks, Brooklyn residents have been plagued by a barrage of fireworks late at night.
Over the first two weeks of June, the complaints have reached a new level - 455 complaints daily to 311.
Per the police department, there have been 22 summonses and 8 related arrests.
In the wake of the George Floyd protests and as people think twice about calling the police, Harry Siegel - the editor in chief of The Daily Beast said on Twitter that, "Brooklyn’s nightly 8 pm to 2 am fireworks now are an interesting de-policing phenomenon. I’m genuinely curious if that will end on its own, increase or get shut down by the police at some point."
