FedEx to Photograph Packages as Proof of Delivery

By: Yehuda Alter
Following Amazon’s rollout of a similar program a number of years ago, Federal Express, one of the nation's largest shipping and delivery companies, will roll out a service that will have the driver photograph packages at delivery, proving they were delivered.
In today's world, where so many goods are purchased online, customers often find that their packages said to have arrived are not found at the door. They then report their packages as not having arrived.
Photographing the package at the delivery location not only gives cover to the shipper and the company, but will often lead the customer to find the package
The service is being pioneered in some areas, and the company plans to expand it thereafter.
