FDNY Searches Six Floors to Pinpoint Hidden Fire in Boro Park

By BoroPark24 Staff
FDNY and Chaveirim launched a large-scale response early this morning after receiving a report of a fire at 15th Avenue and 56th Street in Boro Park.
The call, received at around 3:48 AM, led to an extensive search as residents on the 6th floor reported a strong smell of smoke. Firefighters ultimately discovered the source of the fire on the 1st floor, but not before methodically opening walls throughout the building—from the 6th floor down to the 1st floor—in their search.
The small blaze was eventually extinguished without injuries, but the operation left significant damage to the building's interiors as walls on every floor were torn open to ensure the fire hadn't spread.
