FDNY and NYPD Menorah Lighting Event in Boro Park

FDNY and NYPD Menorah Lighting Event in Boro Park

By Y.M. Lowy

Yesterday evening, Boro Park saw a large turnout for a menorah lighting event, organized by the FDNY in partnership with the NYPD’s 66th Precinct. The evening began with a lively march before lighting the menorah.

The event featured speeches from FDNY First Deputy Commissioner Mark Guerra, FDNY Chief of Department John Esposito, FDNY Deputy Chief Yonatan Klein, Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein, and City Councilman Kalman Yeger. Each of the speakers addressed the crowd, sharing a few words of celebration.

A special highlight of the event was when fireman hats were handed out to children in attendance. The evening was a lively and engaging celebration of both Chanukah and local camaraderie.
