Fallsburg Township Asks for Water Conservation on July 4th Weekend

By BoroPark24 Staff

The Town of Fallsburg issued a water conservation notice for certain areas, asking residents to minimize water usage until July 8th after learning of low water levels, and expecting an increase in usage over the July 4th Holiday weekend.

The areas asked to conserve water are all in the area of LaVista Drive, and are supplied by water in the LaVista tank, which is running low after Water Department personnel found an overflowing private water tank.

“In order to ensure we maintain uninterrupted service during peak usage periods this weekend, we are asking residents being serviced by the LaVista Drive tanks (e.g. LaVista Dr, Lovers Ln, Whittaker Rd) to make a concerted effort to check for water leaks and to reduce water consumption whenever possible,” the Town said in its notice.

Residents of the affected areas may also notice a decrease in water pressure during this time.
