Hatzolah of Boro Park: Always There. Will We Be?

Jewish communities throughout the world are galvanizing in these days around a pillar of their communities, the vital, revered, and beloved Chevra Hatzolah.

It was last year, at the peak of the Covid-19 Pandemic… as the sounds of the constant wailing of sirens still rung in our ears, and the terrible devastation wrought by the virus was all around us… that the United for Protection—Hatzalah-Thon was launched, and we witnessed an incredible outpouring of love and gratitude for these incredible, selfless volunteers of Hatzolah.

Boro Park is a community like no other, and Chevra Hatzolah of Boro Park is an institution like no other.

One of the first Hatzolah organizations in the world, and one of the largest, the selflessness and heroism of its volunteers is something we witness every single day: They are our neighbors and friends, business associates, grocery men and repair people, relatives and fellow shul members… the most ordinary human beings who are really the most extraordinary ones.

Boro Park Hatzalah will once again be part of the larger Hatzalah-Thon, and is gearing up to raise an incredible $1,000,000. These funds will go to expand their fleet of ambulances that will enable them to respond and transport patients more quickly with four new vehicles—dedicated to Boro Park Hatzolah members that have passed on in recent months, following years of selfless chessed.

BoroPark24 follows the heartbeat of the Boro Park community, giving a voice to the incredible good that defines our community. Boro Park Hatzolah is the heartbeat of our community—literally—through the selfless work that they do around-the-clock.

All of us have, or knows someone who has, benefited  from the work of Hatzolah which is ALWAYS there. Let us be there for them.
