DSNY Workers Identified After Throwing Away Trash Can, Along with Trash

     A Department of Sanitation New York (DSNY) worker has been identified after he threw away the trash can, along with the trash, of a neighborhood resident on Sept. 10.

     Camera footage shows the DSNY worker, last Friday night, taking a garbage bag out of one black garbage can and then, for reasons unknown, throwing the second garbage can into the Sanitation truck as well.

     “Ever wonder how your trash can just "disappears" overnight?” Kalman Yeger, who is the City Councilman of District 44, asked on Twitter.

     "This is the type of behavior that causes New Yorkers to wonder why we pay taxes," add Councilman Yeger, who added that he fully expects the Sanitation Commissioner to investigate and punish the employee.

     "This DSNY worker should not be employed by New York City's taxpayers,” he said.
