De Blasio Says to Take Tropical Storm Warning Seriously

Mayor Bill de Blasio warns New Yorkers to take this storm and the tornado warning that comes along with it, very seriously, as tropical storm Isaiah passes through.

“It is something to worry about. Take it seriously, when you hear of a tornado warning, it’s not business as usual.” de Blasio said at a press briefing ”With these high winds, just secure anything that could fly around.”

Governor Cuomo tweeted, saying we need to be careful, and he is urging New Yorkers to look out for local weather reports, ”especially if you are in the storm's direct path.”

Tornado and flash flood warnings are in effect until 4 pm today.
