Cuomo Announces Lifting All COVID Restrictions

     Gov. Cuomo announced this morning, “The state mandates that have proven right and correct are relaxed as of today effective immediately,” after the state hit its benchmark to vaccinated 70% of the state’s population yesterday.

     So all the state mandated restrictions have been lifted on commercial, social setting, sports and recreation, construction, manufacturing, retail, buildings: All across the board, we can get back to living, and businesses can open because the state mandates are gone. 

     “Social distancing, gathering restrictions, the capacity restrictions, the heath screenings, the cleaning and disinfecting protocols."

      Gov. Cuomo added however that he is “not soon giving up his hand sanitizer just yet.

      “I love that ‘New York clean hand sanitizer. It keeps everything clean. But that is now voluntary.”

       The federal mandates from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the governor said “obviously continue for Pre-K, schools, public transit, and healthcare settings, but the state mandates have been lifted.”

     The governor also was happy to announce, “We are no longer in our homes, disinfecting everything we can see.

     “Life is not about survival like is about thriving, about seeing people, loving, about enjoying, about interacting, and now we get back to living and life.”

      Although Gov. Cuomo was proud to announce that New York reached its goal to vaccinated 70% of New York ahead of schedule, he said that “70% is not the end. We want to do better than 70%, and it is an important milestone, and we are going to keep pushing to do more.”
